35 visits were made during the period and 40 species were observed.
On the pools the two adult Mute Swans remained. There were 12 young Moorhens and 5 young Coots. Mallard numbers dwindled from 27 in August to two by the end of October. Up to 2 Herons and a single Cormorant were regular.
A Water Rail was heard squealing on 15th August. A Kingfisher was seen irregularly. Peregrine Falcons were seen on the pylon and there were 3 on October 2nd. The first Black-headed gull arrived on 6th July and by the end of October there were 50.
Up to 6 Reed Warblers remained into September. The scrub at the end of the pools was productive with up to 60 Goldfinches and 20 Greenfinches. A few Chiffchaffs remained up to the end of October. There was a Willow Warbler on 15th August- the first for the year and there was a Grey Wagtail on the pools on 14th October.
